Raglanism 2 sweater....

I thought it would be a great idea to knit the sweater in a single color and boy was I right! I love this one and am sure to knit at least another one.

Just like in the original, you knit top down from the neckline to the ribbed bottom border and all in one piece, placing upper sleeve caps on hold while finishing the body first. Then you pick up your sleeve stitches again and actually you are given a choice to knit sleeves in the round or flat here. I opted for in the round, less fuss.

You are going to love this one!

For bust sizes: S- 36, (M -38,40,42,44,46,48) L - 50".  NOTE: For the S size, stick to the gauge and don't add extra rows, if you are thinking of making your sweater even slightly longer, you are strongly advised to choose the next size up with 3 skeins.

The pattern is fully written.

The knit kits include

  • Darlon, a sport weight antibacterial yarn that is wonderfully soft and also washable. Each skein hold 309 yards in a Dralon. I have made many projects with this yarn and guarantee you that you like it. 2/3/4 skeins used.
  • The printed and emailed pattern.
  • All packaged in a convenient project bag.

Notions needed

  • US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) Circular needle 36" (90 cm) in length.
  • Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.
  • 4 Stitch markers.
  • Scrap yarn for placing stitches on hold.

Gauge: 6 sts and 8 rows in 2" of stockinette stitch using sport weight yarn. Make a gauge swatch!! Determine which needle size works for you to achieve gauge.

Techniques applied: Knitting and purling in the round, neckline only is knitted with two strands held together, increasing, placing stitches on hold and picking them back up again, casting on stitches in between two parts of the sweater, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and blocking.
